DESIDERATA:
'...a kind of post-apocalyptic anti-dance electronic sound-germ warfare experiment... intriguing, intense and strongly evocative of debris-strewn ruins.'
JASON OLARIU:
'2001’s The Sound is a much more caustic affair, with the sound struggling the free itself from its caustic distortion, such as on
| 'Errata', in which a stuttering beat tumbles down into a massive bog of feedback, a noise that could only be bested in endurance and ferocity by Merzbow. 'Alarums' is a noisy meditation on a doubled and tripled synthetic alarm tone, with the gradual addition of echo and distortion corroding its simplicity and turning it into a punishing lesson in volume.'
