Hot on the heels of our first three releases of 2006, May 22nd sees the arrival of a new EP from LIFTING GEAR ENGINEER and a video for the lead track, 'Doel'

Entitled Fridges Of Nature, this five-track release features the first new material from LGE since 2005's debut album, Brain Holiday, which won airplay and praise from Radio 1 DJs Huw Stephens and Bethan Elfyn, and Radio Wales DJ Adam Walton, as well as
| The Selector’s Andrea Oliver and Resonance FM’s Alexander Wendt (FREQUENZEN).
The EP shows a reconfigured approach, with all the urgency and edge of Brain Holiday but in a more stripped down, melodic form that recalls early Autechre as much more familiar reference points such as Plaid or Leftfield.
Rob's upcoming sets include supporting Nathan Fake at The Point in Cardiff on May 16th, and supporting Multiplex and Rashamon in Brighton on June 20th. |
